Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Pick up from Arusha to Lake Manyara National Park
Your tour guide for the whole safari will pick you up from Arusha and you drive to Lake Manyara National Park. As you approach the park, you will be welcomed by forests of mahogany and acacia trees, a lush green foliage that the park is known for. These support a diverse bird life in the park. You will embark on a game drive where you would encounter different wildlife from the famous tree climbing lions, elephants, wildebeests, baboons, hippos, buffaloes, giraffes and hundreds of flamingoes that color the shores of Lake Manyara pink.
At the end of the day, drive to your tented camp or lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 2: Transfer to Serengeti National Park
Leaving the climbing lions of Lake Manyara behind, you will transfer to Serengeti National Park after your early morning breakfast. You will drive through the scenic Ngorongoro Conservation Area before you arrive in the afternoon in time for lunch and later an afternoon game drive to introduce you to the endless plains of Serengeti national park.
A game drive in the heart of Serengeti will offer you great wildlife and birdlife viewing. Including lions, buffalos, cheetahs, wildebeests, zebras, leopards, rhinos, impalas and hippos. Retreat to your lodge / safari camp for overnight and dinner.
Day 3: Serengeti NP to Ngorongoro Conservation Area
Head out for an early morning game drive in Serengeti to catch more of what you saw yesterday and what you might have missed out. Return to your lodge, grab some packed food and drive out towards Ngorongoro Conservation Area, a heritage site that is home to the largest volcanic crater you will ever see.
An afternoon game drive in the area to witness the vast wildlife in the conservation area. An overnight and dinner at your lodge / safari camp.
Day 4: Ngorongoro Crater Game drive and transfer to Tarangire National Park
You will be up very early today, have a light breakfast and drive to the famous crater. You will descend into the craters for an amazing game drive that will last about 5 hours. About 30,000 animals inhabit Ngorongoro Crater. Be sure to come across elephants, lions, buffalos, wildebeests, zebras, leopards, rhinos, wild dogs, reedbucks, hippos alongside a variety of birds.
Have your picnic lunch with awesome views and then ascend out of the crater and drive to Tarangire National Park. Upon arrival, you will check in and have yourself a relaxing evening while enjoying the amenities of the lodge /safari camp. Reminisce about you past days in wild side of Tanzania.
Day 5: Game drive in Tarangire and Departure
Known for its ancient baobab tress and large herds of African elephants. Tarangire National park is also the third largest of Tanzania’s National Parks and among the popular ones. After breakfast, you will check out and embark on a half day game drive in Tarangire. Look out for of course elephants, giraffes, zebras, with luck the big cats…. Lions, cheetahs and leopards, kudus, oryx and elands. Thereafter, you will be dropped back in Arusha for your flight back home or to your next tourist destination.
