Detailed Serengeti Safari & Kilimanjaro Climbing Tour Itinerary
Day 1: Pick Up from Kilimanjaro International Airport
On arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, a company representative will meet you and transfer you to Arusha. Check in at your hotel and rest after your journey. Overnight in Arusha.
Day 2 to 7: Climbing Mount Kilimanjaro
Your Mount Kilimanjaro hiking adventure begins during these days. There are seven main routes used to reach the summit. These include the Machame Route, Marangu Route, Northern Circuit Route, Lemosho Route, Rongai Route, Umbwe Route, and Shira Route. You may choose the route that best suits your preference and fitness level.
Once fully equipped, you will begin the climb. As you ascend, you will pass through different climate zones at varying elevations. Each day brings new views and conditions. Reaching the summit at sunrise is a special moment and marks your success in reaching the top of Africa.
After descending to the base of the mountain, your driver will transfer you back to Arusha. Check in at your hotel, enjoy a hot shower, and rest. Overnight in Arusha.
Day 8: Transfer to Serengeti National Park
After breakfast, depart Arusha and drive to Serengeti National Park. On arrival, enjoy a late afternoon game drive. This is a good time to begin spotting wildlife. Later, drive to your lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 9: Full Day Game Viewing in Serengeti
Spend the full day exploring Serengeti National Park. The park is known for the Great Wildebeest Migration, where large herds of wildebeests and zebras move across the plains following rainfall patterns. If you visit during the migration season, you may see this movement.
You will carry packed food and enjoy a picnic lunch during the game drive. Optional activities include visits to Maasai villages and hot air balloon safaris. Dinner and overnight will be at your lodge.
Day 10: Departure
After breakfast, drive out of Serengeti National Park and return to Arusha. You will be dropped off at the airport for your flight back home. This marks the end of your 10 Days Serengeti Wildlife Safari & Mount Kilimanjaro Hiking Adventure.
