Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Pick up from Kilimanjaro International Airport
The company representative will pick you from the airport in Kilimanjaro and drive you to Arusha town where you will spend the night. Settle in and feel at home. Welcome to Tanzania.
Day 2-7: Climbing Mountain Kilimanjaro
You will begin your quest to conquer the tallest mountain on the African continent on Day. There are 7 different routes you can take that will take you to the top of Mt. Kilimanjaro. They are Machame route, Marangu route, Northern Circuit route, Lemosho route, Rongai route, Umbwe route and Shira route. You can choose from any of the 7 routes. Once you have the right gear and equipment, you are good to get climbing.
You will pass through different climatic zones and stunning views at different levels of elevation making each step up the mountain so worth it. Reach the summit at sunrise, have a moment and savor your accomplishment. You made it to the top of Africa.
After descending back to the foot of the mountain, your driver will drive you back to Arusha check in at your hotel, have that much needed hot shower and get into celebratory mode. Pop that bottle of champagne. You will spend the night at your hotel.
Day 8: Transfer to Serengeti National Park
Rise up, time to hit the road to the wilderness. The driver will pick you up after your breakfast and drive you to Serengeti National Park. You will embark on a late afternoon game drive once you reach the park after which you will drive to your lodge for an overnight.
Day 9: Full day game viewing in Serengeti
Serengeti National park is home to an abundance of wildlife and the annual great migration where millions of wildebeests, thousands of zebras and hundreds of other ungulates move Northwards in search for greener pastures, following the rains which you might get a chance to see if you are in the park during the migration period.
You will head out with packed food for a picnic lunch on this whole day game viewing adventure. Serengeti has a lot to offer in terms of attractions and activities.
Visit to Masai villages and Hot air balloon safaris are some of the optional activities you can go for. Dinner and overnight back at the lodge.
Day 10: Departure
Have breakfast and then exit the park driving back to Arusha to catch your flight back home. Welcome back from the safari.
