Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Kilimanjaro to Arusha
Your safari guide will welcome you, pick you up from Kilimanjaro International airport and drive you to Arusha. Check in and settle in at your hotel in Arusha town where you will have your dinner and good nights’ sleep. Welcome to Tanzania.
Day 2: Arusha City Tour
Today, your safari guide will pick you up from your hotel and take you on a city tour of Arusha. You can also opt to go for a walk or canoeing.
Return to your hotel for lunch and a briefing from your safari guide about your 15 days safari trip. Spend the rest of the day at leisure. You can explore the hotel and enjoy the available amenities.
Day 3: Arusha National Park
Your safari guide will pick you up and drive you to Arusha National Park. Your first wildlife viewing adventure starts today. A game drive to explore its beautiful rich landscapes, the animals and birds that inhabit the different environments (tropical rainforests, swamps and lakes). Look out for black and white colobus monkeys, giraffes, blue monkeys, baboons, hippos, buffalos, zebras and lots of birds.
Optional activities; Mountain bike tour, canoeing, walking safari and coffee plantation visit. An overnight and dinner at your lodge.
Day 4: In Arusha
Spend this day at leisure to help you acclimatize to the new environment. Optional activities; visit a local market, coffee plantation visit, mountain bike or horse riding.
Day 5: Transfer to Tarangire National Park
You will transfer to Tarangire National Park after your breakfast. Be ready to see lots and lots of elephants as this park is known for its large herds of African Elephants where one single herd can have up to 300 elephants. Other animals to look out for are lions, cheetahs, leopards, antelopes, gazelles, buffalos and many different bird species. An overnight at your lodge.
Day 6-8: Serengeti National Park
Early morning breakfast and transfer to Serengeti National park where you will spend 3 days exploring the vast endless plains of Serengeti and its diverse wildlife which includes over 500 different species of birds.
Serengeti national park is the most popular park in Northern Tanzania famed by the annual Great Wildebeest migration which you will have the chance to catch a glimpse of during your game drives and with some luck, you might watch a river crossing at Grumeti River which is infested my Nile crocodiles that are one of the predators to the millions of migrants during the migration period.
Lots of animals and birds to look out for in Serengeti; lions, wildebeests, leopards, elephants, buffalos, cheetahs, hyenas, rare endangered black rhino, jackals, zebras, antelopes, impalas, eland, top, dik-dik, serval, foxes, hippos, ostriches, eagles, vulture species, secretary bird, Fischer’s lovebird, barbets, grey throated spurfowl and more.
Optional activities include Maasai community visit and Hot air ballooning safari.
Day 9: Transfer to Ngorongoro Conservation Area
A very early breakfast, packed lunch and transfer to Ngorongoro conservation area, home to the largest unspoiled inactive caldera in the world.
Enjoy more game sightings as you transfer to Ngorongoro. When you reach the crater rim, you will descend into the crater whose diverse rich ecosystem supports 30,000 animals and hundreds of different bird species.
A game drive at the floor of this great caldera is like no other. It is one of the best places in Tanzania to see all the iconic members of the big 5 in their natural environment.
The lion, elephant, black rhino (endangered), leopard and buffalo among others; monkeys, baboons, hippos, wildebeests, jackals, cheetahs, hyenas and hundreds of birds.
Take a break an enjoy your lunch by the hippo pool. Then carry on, on a steep ascend to exit the crate. Explore more of the area around the crater for more game sightings like giraffes, zebras, warthogs, elands while enjoying the beautiful picturesque views of Ngorongoro. Retire to your lodge for some relaxation, dinner and an overnight.
Day 10-14: Zanzibar Beach Holiday
After your breakfast, you will be dropped at the airport in Arusha to catch your flight to Zanzibar. A beautiful relaxing beach holiday awaits you in these 4 days. Spend your time in Zanzibar at leisure. No activities planned just go with what your heart, mind and body feel like doing.
Whether it is laying back an taking in the Indian Ocean views, taking a walk on the white sand beaches, enjoying the resorts available amenities or visiting the local market to shop for souvenirs.

Day 15: End of Safari
Depending on your flight time, your driver will pick you. Then drop off at the airport in time to catch your flight back home.
