Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival in Uganda
Upon arrival at Entebbe international airport, you will meet your tour guide who will drive you to your hotel in Entebbe or Kampala where you will spend your first night in the pearl of Africa.
Day 2: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
Enjoy an early morning breakfast before you set off on the journey to the scenic Southwestern Uganda. Depart Kampala / Entebbe on a rewarding journey with beautiful scenic views and landscapes, passing different local villages and markets, watching hills rolling by in the distance. A stop at the Equator line to watch and listen in on some interesting facts about the 0-degree line as you stretch your legs a bit.
Arriving in Bwindi in the evening, you will check in at the safari lodge, freshen up, have dinner and rest up to re-energize for an eventful tomorrow.
Day 3: Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest
Bwindi Impenetrable national park is the best place to see mountain gorillas in the whole world as it is home to more than half of the world’s mountain gorilla population in the wild. After an early breakfast, pack some drinking water and the driver will drive you to the headquarters of the park for a short briefing session about gorilla trekking after which you will go into the forest in search of the great apes. You are given an hour in the presence of the gorillas. Savor the moment and enjoy every second.
Return to the safari lodge for lunch. Thereafter you will go for a cultural visit in Batwa community. You can opt to stay back at lodge relax as you enjoy the views.
Day 4: Flight to Arusha, Tanzania
On this day, you will catch a flight to Tanzania, your next tourist destination on this 8-day safari. You can either drive back to Entebbe. Catch your flight from Entebbe International airport or go through Rwanda to catch your flight from Kigali airport.
Our company representative will pick you up and take you to your hotel. Enjoy the rest of the day at leisure.
Day 5: Transfer to Lake Manyara National park
Your wilderness safari starts today in Lake Manyara national park. Home to the rare tree climbing lions and ancient baobab trees. Arrive in the early afternoon have lunch. Head out for an introductory game drive to the wildlife in Tanzania. Look out for zebras, giraffes, lions, elephants, baboons and more. Back to the lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 6-7: Serengeti National Park to Ngorongoro Conservation Area
The home of the great migration and millions of wildebeests. This vast park is a game viewing paradise. Keep your camera rolling and you will not miss a thing. You will have game drives at different times of the day to get the best of the park. An early morning game drive on day 7 in Serengeti national park will give you the chance to watch some wildlife action as animals are more active in the early hours of the day.
All said and done, you will transfer to Ngorongoro conservation area. A Night game drive around the crater and an overnight stay.
Day 8: Ngorongoro Crater Game Drive and Departure
For your last day of the safari, you will have a 5-hour long game drive at the floor of the Ngorongoro crater. Ascending back to the top for your drive back to Arusha to catch your flight back home.
