Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Nairobi to Maasai Mara National Park
You will be picked up by your tour guide and start your journey to the wild side of Kenya. Enjoy the Kenya’s countryside views as you journey on. Upon arrival in Masai Mara, you will check in at your accommodation facility, have your lunch and then head out for your safari game drive, the first on your 6-days safari. Welcome to East Africa. Later in the evening drive back to your tented camp or safari lodge for an overnight and dinner.
Day 2: Full day game drive in Maasai Mara National Park
Rise and let us go explore the plains of Maasai Mara. This park has a lot to offer as it hosts a diverse wild and bird life. You will have an early morning game drive, a break to enjoy a picnic lunch in the wilderness with breathtaking views and later an afternoon game drive to explore more of what Maasai Mara has to reveal to us.
Expect to see wildebeests, zebras, giraffes, lions, leopards, buffalos, elephants, rhinos (though rare), hippos, crocodiles, impalas, cheetahs, elands, Thomson’s gazelles, hyenas, jackals and hundreds of bird species. With some luck, if you are in the park during the Great Migration, you might get a chance to watch the dramatic and action-packed Mara River crossing. Overnight and dinner back at your tented camp or safari lodge.
Day 3: Transfer to Serengeti National Park
After a delicious morning breakfast, check out with a packed lunch and drive Southwards towards the famous Serengeti National park in Tanzania. Enjoy the views of Maasai Mara as you exit the park. We shall stop at the Isebania border for visa processing and filling in of some paper work. This will take some good time, feel free to step out of the car stretch a bit and enjoy your lunch. Procced into Tanzania and as you enter the Serengeti plains, enjoy an en-route game drive as you journey on towards your tented camp or safari lodge where you will have your dinner and good night’s sleep.
Day 4: Full day game drive in Serengeti National Park
You will have a whole day to explore the vast plains of Serengeti National park. It is home to an abundance of animals and bird life. From the Big Five African animals; lion, leopards, elephant, buffalo and the endangered rhino to millions of wildebeests, thousands of zebras, hundreds of gazelles, antelopes, impalas, elands, cheetahs, hyenas, bat eared foxes, Nile crocodiles, ostriches, secretary bird, vultures, African fish eagle and more. Optional activities; hot air ballooning and visit to the Masai Village.
Day 5: Transfer to Ngorongoro Conservation Area
Famously known for the Ngorongoro Crater, the largest caldera in the world. After your breakfast you will drive to the conservation area with a packed food that you will enjoy on your picnic lunch by the hippo pool. Once you reach the Ngorongoro, you will descend into the crater and have a game viewing adventure on the floor of the famous crater. 30,000 animals inhabit Ngorongoro crater. Enjoy the beautiful landscapes and if you didn’t get to see the Big 5 in Maasai Mara or Serengeti. You still have a chance to see them on this game drive.
Ascend to the top of the crater and drive to your tented camp. Where you will have your last dinner and night in the wild among the animals.
Day 6: To Arusha – End of Safari
Have your breakfast. Prepare to check out and drive to Arusha. Here you will be dropped off at the airport to catch your flight to your next destination.
