Detailed Itinerary

The Turners Spring in Serengeti

Day 1: Arrival in Uganda and Pick up

Your guide will pick you up from Entebbe International airport on arrival and drive you to your hotel in Entebbe city where you will spend the night. Welcome to Uganda

Day 2: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

Early in the morning, your driver will pick you up and start your journey to southwestern Uganda. A very beautiful and scenic drive once you leave the cities behind. It will be a long but enjoyable drive.

You will have a few stops here and there to stretch your legs, to have lunch and notably a stop at the 0-degree line, the Equator. You will arrive in Bwindi in the late evening, check into your safari lodge where you will have dinner and an overnight.

Day 3: Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest

Before you go onto the forest, you will have a mini briefing session about gorilla trekking and then you will be allocated to a group of 8 trekkers and then you set foot into the dense impenetrable forest to trek the endangered Mountain Gorillas.

Half of the world’s total population of mountain gorillas is found in Bwindi impenetrable national park. Depending on the movement of these gentle giants, you will be able to track them down with in 2-6 hours, spend an incredible hour in their presence before you exit the forest.

Your driver will drive you back to your safari lodge for lunch and you can spend the rest of the day at leisure or go on a cultural visit to the Batwa community.

Day 4: Transfer to Volcanoes National Park in Rwanda

After breakfast, you will check out of your lodge and hit the road to Volcanoes national park in Rwanda, another place that the mountain gorillas inhabit. Enjoy the beautiful landscapes all journey through even after you cross the border into Rwanda. Check into your accommodation just close to Volcanoes national park.

Day 5: Gorilla trekking in Volcanoes National Park

Your tour guide will drive you to the headquarters of the park foe a briefing about the do’s and don’ts of gorilla trekking. Venture into the Volcanoes forest for another thrilling gorilla trekking experience. You will trek a different gorilla family, spend an hour with them observing their behaviors and taking pictures to freeze the moment to reminisce about in the future. Return to the lodge for an overnight.

Day 6: Fly to Arusha in Tanzania

After breakfast, the driver will drive you to Kigali airport to catch your flight to Arusha airport in Tanzania where your safari guide will be waiting to welcome you and take you to your hotel where you will spend the night before transferring to Serengeti national park tomorrow.

Day 7-8: Serengeti National Park

Renowned for its wildlife abundance and the great wildebeest migration… Serengeti national park is a one stop destination for a true African safari adventure. In these 2 days, you will explore the different areas in the park. Looking out for leopards, lions, elephants, black rhinos, buffalos, zebras, giraffes, impalas, elands, jackals, hyenas and many other animals. Different species of birds that inhabit this endless savannah.

You can opt to go for a visit to the Maasai communities. Or go on a hot air balloon safari, and glide over the Serengeti.

Day 9: To Ngorongoro Conservation Area

Drive to Ngorongoro conservation area in the early morning after your breakfast. Today you will descend 2000 feet into the Ngorongoro crater for an adventure of a life time. This unspoiled and unbroken caldera has a rich ecosystem that supports hundreds of bird species and 30,000 animals. A 5-hour game drive at the floor of the crater will offer you a chance to see….. Lions, leopards, the endangered black rhino, elephants, buffalos, warthogs, elands, wildebeest, topi, gazelles and a glimpse of some of the birds that inhabit the crater.

Post your picnic lunch, you will make a steep ascent out of the crater. Explore more of the areas around the crater rim. There is still a lot for you to discover. At the end of the day, drive back to your lodge for a relaxing evening and as night’s sleep.

Day 10: Transfer to Arusha and Flight back home

Sit back and take in the views of the crater as far as your eyes can see. Enjoy your last breakfast in the wilderness. Your driver will drop you in Arusha. Prepare for your next destination or take you to the airport to catch your flight.
