Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Kigali to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

Our company representative will pick you up from your hotel in Kigali and drive you to Bwindi Impenetrable national park in Uganda. Bwindi Impenetrable forest is home to more than half of the remaining population of Mountain Gorillas in the wild in the whole world. Making your chances of seeing the great apes high. Enjoy the scenic beauty of the rolling hills of Southwestern Uganda as you journey along. Dinner and overnight at your booked safari lodge.

Day 2: Gorilla trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest

After breakfast, your safari guide will take you to the park’s headquarters where a park ranger will brief you about the main activity of today, gorilla trekking. You will then be divided in groups of 8 and then you enter the impenetrable forest. It could take you about 2-8 hours to find a family of mountain gorillas depending on their movements. Once you track them down, you be allowed a whole hour to marvel at the human like animals and get to learn more about their behaviors from the ranger guide. After the trek, you will head back to your lodge for lunch rest a bit and after visit the Batwa community in Bwindi. Get to know how the livelihood of the forest people, watch a traditional performance and don’t stop your foot from tapping if the music speaks to you. Dinner and overnight at the safari lodge.

Day 3: Back to Kigali and Flight to Arusha in Tanzania

Early morning breakfast before you hit the road back to Kigali for a drop off at the airport to catch your flight to Arusha. Our representative in Tanzania will meet you at the airport and drive you to your hotel in Arusha town where you will spend your first night in Tanzania.

Day 4: Transfer to Serengeti National Park

After breakfast, your safari guide will pick you up and drive to the North of Tanzania to the one of the countries most visited national parks, Serengeti national park. Have lunch before you go for a late afternoon game drive in the Serengeti plains. By sunset, you are back at the lodge for dinner and an overnight.

Day 5: Full day game viewing

It is going to be a game viewing adventure today. You will have an early morning game drive for a chance to catch the nocturnal predators on a morning hunt. Also watch the other animals doing their morning activities. Animals are more active in the early hours of the day.

Later in the afternoon you will have another game drive to explore more of the Serengeti. You will see animals you might have missed out in the morning. Lions and leopards lazing around on kopjes or up in the trees. Animals quenching their thirst at the water points… Elephants, zebras, wildebeests, giraffe, buffalo, rhino (rarely seen), kudus, hyenas, cheetahs, crocodiles, ostriches, vultures, turacos, eagles among others. Chances of watching the migrants if you are in the park during the Great migration period. Hot air balloon safaris and Maasai community visits are available optional activities.

Day 6: To Arusha airport

We have come to the end of your safari. Drive back to Arusha all the way to the airport to catch your flight back home.
