This 6 Days Bwindi Gorilla Trekking via Kigali & Serengeti Wildlife Safari combines two once-in-a-lifetime experiences in one safari trip. The journey includes mountain gorilla trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park in Uganda and a chance to see the Great Wildlife Migration in Serengeti National Park in Tanzania, one of the world’s natural wonders.
The trip starts with a pick-up in Kigali, Rwanda, and ends in Arusha, Tanzania.

Detailed Gorilla Trekking & Serengeti Safari Itinerary
Day 1: Kigali to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
Our company representative will pick you up from your hotel in Kigali and drive you to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park in Uganda. Bwindi is home to more than half of the remaining mountain gorillas in the wild, which gives you a high chance of seeing them. Enjoy views of the hills in southwestern Uganda as you travel. Dinner and overnight will be at your booked safari lodge.
Day 2: Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest
After breakfast, your safari guide will take you to the park headquarters for a briefing by a ranger about gorilla trekking. You will be placed in a small group of up to eight people and then enter the forest. The trek can take between two and eight hours, depending on the movement of the gorillas.
Once you find a gorilla family, you will spend one hour observing them and learning about their behavior from the ranger. After the trek, return to the lodge for lunch and a short rest. Later, visit the Batwa community to learn about their way of life and enjoy a cultural performance. Dinner and overnight will be at the lodge.
Day 3: Back to Kigali and Flight to Arusha in Tanzania
After an early breakfast, drive back to Kigali for a drop-off at the airport. You will board your flight to Arusha, Tanzania. On arrival, our Tanzania representative will meet you and transfer you to your hotel in Arusha town. Overnight in Arusha.
Day 4: Transfer to Serengeti National Park
After breakfast, your safari guide will pick you up and drive north to Serengeti National Park, one of Tanzania’s most visited parks. After lunch, head out for a late afternoon game drive in the Serengeti plains. Return to the lodge by evening for dinner and overnight.
Day 5: Full Day Game Viewing
Today is dedicated to game viewing in Serengeti National Park. Start with an early morning game drive to look for predators returning from a night hunt and other animals beginning their day.
In the afternoon, enjoy another game drive to explore more areas of the park. You may see lions, leopards resting on rocks or in trees, and animals gathering at water points. Wildlife includes elephants, zebras, wildebeests, giraffes, buffaloes, rhinos though rarely seen, kudus, hyenas, cheetahs, crocodiles, ostriches, vultures, turacos, and eagles. If you visit during the Great Migration season, you may see large herds moving across the plains. Optional activities include hot air balloon safaris and visits to Maasai communities.
Day 6: To Arusha Airport
After breakfast, drive back to Arusha and continue to the airport for your onward flight. This marks the end of your 6 Days Bwindi Gorilla Trekking via Kigali & Serengeti Wildlife Safari.
