This 6 Days Maasai Mara & Serengeti Wildlife Safari Tour takes you to two famous national parks known for the annual Great Wildebeest Migration. Detailed Masai Mara & Serengeti Safari Itinerary
Day 1: Nairobi to Maasai Mara National Park
You will be picked up by your tour guide and begin your journey to Maasai Mara National Park. Enjoy views of the Kenyan countryside along the way. On arrival in Maasai Mara, you will check in at your lodge or tented camp and have lunch. Later, you will go for your first game drive of the 6 Days Maasai Mara & Serengeti Wildlife Safari. In the evening, return to your camp or lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 2: Full Day Game Drive in Maasai Mara National Park
Wake up early and head out to explore Maasai Mara. The park is home to many animals and bird species. You will enjoy a morning game drive, followed by a picnic lunch inside the park. In the afternoon, continue with another game drive to see more wildlife.
Animals commonly seen include wildebeests, zebras, giraffes, lions, leopards, buffaloes, elephants, rhinos though rare, hippos, crocodiles, impalas, cheetahs, elands, gazelles, hyenas, jackals, and many birds. If you visit during the Great Migration season, you may witness the Mara River crossing. Dinner and overnight will be at your camp or lodge.
Day 3: Transfer to Serengeti National Park
After breakfast, check out with a packed lunch and drive south toward Serengeti National Park in Tanzania. Enjoy the final views of Maasai Mara as you exit the park. Stop at the Isebania border for visa processing and paperwork. After crossing into Tanzania, continue to Serengeti with a game drive along the way to your camp or lodge. Dinner and overnight will be at the lodge.
Day 4: Full Day Game Drive in Serengeti National Park
Spend the full day exploring Serengeti National Park. The park is home to many animals and birds. You may see lions, leopards, elephants, buffaloes, rhinos, wildebeests, zebras, gazelles, antelopes, impalas, elands, cheetahs, hyenas, bat-eared foxes, crocodiles, ostriches, secretary birds, vultures, and African fish eagles. Optional activities include a hot air balloon safari or a visit to a Maasai village.
Day 5: Transfer to Ngorongoro Conservation Area
After breakfast, drive to Ngorongoro Conservation Area with a packed lunch. You will enjoy your picnic lunch near the hippo pool. Descend into the Ngorongoro Crater for a game drive on the crater floor, which is home to about 30,000 animals. This is another chance to see the Big Five if you missed any earlier. Later, ascend from the crater and drive to your camp for dinner and overnight.
Day 6: To Arusha. End of Safari
After breakfast, check out and drive to Arusha. You will be dropped off at the airport for your onward flight, marking the end of your 6 Days Maasai Mara & Serengeti Wildlife Safari.
